Remember, this is only new to 11.23, which has not yet propagated to STABLE. Therefore, if you are running the STABLE build, you will not see any enhancements yet.

However, if you are seeing the "VPS Optimized" logo in your interface and still haven't noticed a decrease in memory - there are some rare instances where some of the old modules stay resident in RAM. In this scenario, we would recommend some planned downtime for your server where you can reboot the server to enjoy the full benefits of cPanel VPS Optimization.

Yea, this version is very good. I've been doing some late night tests last night and found that its performance has risen thats for sure.

I'm very excited to be able to have cPanel 11.23 running on our production VPS's.

I'm seeing that there are many new things to come from cPanel, as they continue to improve. However, with more available ram in the servers as the cPanel usage goes down, everyone will see the benefits with faster loading sites.

after I upgraded to new version from 60+ to 47.61 running 2 sites with both php/mysql.
and also no more memory error

Another is how to temporary disable cpanel. I never use it lately. I tried to stop but a few minutes it's up again.

I'm always using ssh and sftp.

Thx

Hi,

Good day to all of our members here, i'm still new here and still on the learning curve.

I have upgraded to the latest cPanel VPS Optimized and one thing that i realized, all the emails stop working after the upgrade, no email being received but sending is OK, can you guys please help me sort this out, what is actually going on? Please note that this does not occur before I upgrade.

Thank you.

Maybe you can try this? and let us know what you find. to display the ouput do:

# cat /etc/localdomains

# cat /etc/remotedomains

and give us the output for both.

I have this on one of my VPS. After the upgrade to 11.23.1, resource use in Virtuozzo didn't drop at all. I restarted the VPS using Virutuozzo, and resource use went from 61% to 59%. Doesn't seem like I got the benefit.

Is restarting Virtuozzo sufficient or does the actual server need to be rebooted? It seems like restarting the VPS should be enough...

I notice there is yet another new version of cPanel now, so maybe upgrading to that will do the trick?

If you do a VZ restart that should help. I would do the following:

# /scripts/upcp

# then reboot the VPS

There has been another update to this cpanel release. Is anyone using that?

There was one released yesterday. However, we've not had a chance to try it as yet. I wouldn't update for at least a week after the release (often it breaks stuff so at least wait a couple of days).
