I know why they don't like the "VPS Optimized" logo is they can't sell their customers on "this is a dedicated server" when this is actually a VPS... as the logo will provide otherwise... - I've heard of companies doing this before.
On the other hand, it's none of customers business if the server is ded. or vps, nor, is it any of the customers of resellers whether the server is ded or vps. For those of us who are small hosts, can meet customer needs on a vps, then why not? In fact, when communicating with customers, just refer to the machine as "the server" or "my server".

As long as customer is getting the space, bandwidth, uptime, they pay for, there's no need to inform them that it's a VPS unless they ask.

gee, all ya gotta do is find:
/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/themes/x/logo.jpg
/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/themes/x/logo_vps.jpg
and replace them with aibrushed logo 225x40 ...

You have to use the RELEASE or CURRENT branch. STABLE doesn't have the 11.23.1 changes.

Check your resources in Virtuozzo. After doing the update to 11.23.1 mine went from 64.5 to 30.5.

The sites hosted on the VPS seem to load quite a bit faster, too.

That sounds good! Glad to hear it, soon all the VPS's will have it so you can rock it :P

Is it normal to not see any drop in used memory after installing the optimized version? Checking virtuozzo my system usage is at 47.39 and on the "Free" command it is still at 366mb of used memory. Current cPanel version 11.23.1-RELEASE
oh well

I don't know about "normal" but since I posted I updated another VPS and didn't get a significant reduction in memory usage. So I'm 1 for 2.
