I use the WHM backup function on two of my VPS accounts and use a third VPS for the storage of these files. I download them to my local computer every Sunday night and then burn those to a CD archive and USB drive.

I take backups seriously. The most I'll lose is 6 days of data with my system.

That's not serious. Daily is serious, and I do that with my sites both onsite and offsite. Hourly is what I do on my Macs.

Well, my data files rarely change. I do have cron mysqldump setups on my important sites to backup my DBs more frequently just in case.

Besides, there's probably 80% of the people out there doing nothing proactive.

Lastly, I don't want to deal with incremental backup stuff.

I'm happy to engage auto backups where I can. Beats thinking about it.
