Default Ventrilo Server

I was wondering if anyone has had any success in setting up a Ventrilo Server on a VPS?

If so would you mind posting some detailed steps?

Thanks!

Default Re: Ventrilo Server

I`m sure that you will not have any problems with the installation of Ventrilo server.
1) Upload the file to the machine that you plan on running the server on.
2) Open SSH to the host computer that will be running the server.
3) Set your working directory to where ever you want to create the ventrilo directory.
Code:
mkdir ventrilo
cd ventrilo
4) Copy the tar.gz file into this new directory.
5) Type "tar zxf " followed by the name of the tar.gz file.
6) Type: "./ventrilo_srv".

All configuration settings are in "ventrilo_srv.in"
Open in firewall port for Ventrilo to allow incoming connections.
