Hi everyone at HostIcan!
I have been trying all weekend to get my WebHostmanager set up correctly. I hope you can help me with my issue. Issue: I selected "Create a New Account" from WebHostmanager, log into the new Cpanel account and started uploading some files. The uploaded files displays successfully at "http://208.53.18x.xxx/testdmin/postinfo.html", but if I go to my park domain "http://examplemanga.com/postinfo.html" (example domain), the upload files does not display. The following is some information/steps I did: 1) From Godaddy.com, my domain name server is listed as: Nameserver 1:NS44.DOMAINCONTROL.COM Nameserver 2:NS45.DOMAINCONTROL.COM 2) This is the information from my web host manager: -Server IP : 208.53.18x.xxx -Hostname: examplemanga.DOMAINCONROL.com -Primary Nameserver:NS44.DOMAINCONTROL.COM -Secondary Nameserver:NS45.DOMAINCONTROL.COM -In SSH, edit /etc/resolv.conf look like this: Search localdomain nameserver 66.xx.xx.xx nameserver 66.xx.xx.xx 3) From the WebHostManager CPanel, I clicked on "Create a New Account/List Account". -Domain: examplemanga.com (park domain from godaddy.com) -Ip: 208.53.18x.xxx -The "A entry for your hostname": examplemanga.DOMAINCONROL.com // 208.53.18x.xxx Question: I am able to upload the files, but why is it not showing on my park domain "http://examplemanga.com/postinfo.html"? Do you know what I am doing wrong, or should be doing? Thanks a million in advance, -Silvers |

It's probably just taking a while to propagate a new DNS record worldwide. Be patient, it should become available shortly.

Thanks for all your help! It works now!
![]() However, do you know why I keep receiving the following message from Cpanel? I've tried a few solutions and searched around, but to no avail: ================================================== == IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email. The hostname (examplemanga.DOMAINCONROL.com) resolves to . It should resolve to 208.53.18x.xxx. Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the 'A' entry in zone file for the domain. Some are all of these problems can be caused by /etc/resolv.conf being setup incorrectly. Please check this file if you believe everything else is correct. You may be able to automaticly correct this problem by using the 'Add an A entry for your hostname' under 'Dns Functions' in your Web Host Manager ================================================== == 1) Within WHM, I have the following: -Add an A entry for your hostname (I only have one listed) Hostname: examplemanga.DOMAINCONROL.com Server Main Ip: 208.53.18x.xxx -Primary/secondary nameserver Primary Nameserver: examplemanga.DOMAINCONROL.com (A entry = 208.53.183.xxx) Secondary Nameserver: NS40.DOMAINCONTROL.COM (A entry = 208.109.255.20) -Resolver Configuration Primary Resolver: 66.xx.xx.xx Secondary Resolver: 66.xx.xx.xx -Current DNS Zone listing: examplemanga.com (website URL that is working) examplemanga.DOMAINCONROL.com (this one I made myself that contains the server main IP) NS40.DOMAINCONTROL.COM (random secondary nameserver from Godaddy) 2) My edit "edit /etc/resolv.conf" contains the following: Search localdomain nameserver 66.xx.xx.xx nameserver 66.xx.xx.xx Issue: The hostname I created (examplemanga.DOMAINCONROL.com) does not resolve to any IP. However, when in WHM, it contains Server Main Ip: 208.53.18x.xxx. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks, -Silvers |

Do not touch /etc/resolv.conf file.
Please add new A Records in the bottom of the Edit DNS Zone page in WHM panel. First A Record - server IP Second A Record: your IP address of your VPS |
