Default prioritization of the various processes of VPS hosting

I have an idea that I would like to test on the Linux hosting. I want to find a way to set a priority of the various processes of my VPS?

I think you do not need of these priorities, but the command used in Linux for this is 'nice'.
The syntax is:
Code:
nice [-increment | -n increment ] command [argument ... ]
Where the increment must be in the range 1-19; if not specified, an increment of 10 is assumed.
