Default Maintenance Window - Which Server?

I just got an email regarding the notice of a maintenance window this weekend:
Quote:
Hello,

This is a message to inform you of an upcoming maintenance window:

HostICan is committed to bringing better standards of web hosting to our entire customer base. Upgrades and maintenance windows are very important to deliver state-of-the-art service for your sites. Thus, we have scheduled a maintenance window:

WHEN: 11:30 PM – 1:30 AM Eastern Daylight Time, Saturday, March 22nd 2008.

While we have a rather large timeframe stated above, the actual timeframe on per server is around 30 mins of downtime.

WHAT: There will be RAM upgrades on these servers, adding higher performance to customer's sites and allowing them to load faster with less lag time than they are experiencing at the moment.

There will also be some File System changes that will allow RAM to be used more effectively and provide additional performance enhancements.

Servers that will be affected: VZR1-20 | 21 | 22 | 23 | 24 | 25 | 26 and 27

We do appreciate your understanding in this matter, and for supporting us in making HostICan deliver the best hosting service in the industry. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,

HostICan Operations
I have several accounts with HIC, and don't know which server/account this applies to. Where do you find the server ID (e.g., "VZR-20") listed in the email? I've looked in Virtuozzo (VPS ID) and cPanel (server name) and don't see any of those in the email listed, but I'm assuming these notices are only sent to those accounts the maintenance applies to...

Thanks

If you got the email, you are covered by the maintenance window. I don't expect it will take that long to power down your server and install the memory upgrade. Certainly less than an hour and probably half that. Denis can do a closer estimate.

Thanks Shazam, I'm not worried so much about the time, I'm wondering which account is affected. How do I tell that?

The answer to this question is, if you got 1 email or more, it means that the node your on will have upgrades performed to it.

Have you guys considered a status.hostican.com setup with important data such as this. I didn't get a notice, however, how am I to know my spam filters haven't eaten it?

Guess I missed that post. Sure would be nice to join an RSS feed with announcements like that though. Even a sub-category on the blog?

Thanks for your feedback, that would be a good idea. We will look into adding this in the future.

Default clarify date for ram upgrade

WHEN: 11:30 PM – 1:30 AM Eastern Daylight Time, Saturday, March 22nd 2008.

the message above, is ambiguous & misleading. since, said times encompass 2 days, so, it could be interpreted to begin 11:30 pm EST TONITE -- FRIDAY, into 1:30 am EST SATURDAY. or: 11:30 pm EST SATURDAY, into 1:30 am EST SUNDAY

or, folks in west coast could interpret it as 8:30 pm PDT to 11:30 pm PDT on Saturday nite.

Suggest you use GMT or post the starting time & DATE, & the ending time & DATE, when such operations "begin" on 1 day, & end on another day; and kindly clarify, whether said operations are happening in less than 2 hours from now, or about 26 hours from now?

am i the only one who is confused? no, because, customer in another time zone asked me to clarify.
