Mail Server Outlook

I am hearing from everyone on my VPS that they are having trouble using Outlook and sending mail.... even me

I am receiving mail just fine using Microsoft Outlook 6 but it will nto send. Every time I try to send an email I get the error message...

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail@disney-forums.com', Server: 'mail.disney-forums.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 26, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have tried logging in online and attempted to auto configure setting for the mail server and tried manual and still cant send mail via Outlook
Anyone have a solution?

Check the mail log file on the server if it contains any clues.

/var/log/exim_mainlog

Also, you can replace your mail server name used in Microsoft Outlook with the IP address of the mail server. In most cases this solves the problem.
