Email Problem on VPS

That error might be something related to your email software. Try downloading a copy of Mozilla's free Thunderbird, and try it there.

I have used a lot of email clients and I am sure now that Thunderbird is working without any problems.

Well I just tried it on another computer on a different ISP and at first I got the error message when attempting to send an email but then I remembered to go back into Outlook and choose the servers tab under the account and check off "My Server Requires Authorization" and then it worked. Verify that on the first PC too. Maybe that setting isn't taking.
