Drupal Install Problem...

Iv used the application vault in plesk to install drupal6 on my VPS.

And I am getting alot of errors. Like Below :

It looks like whatever version Plesk is using they have some issues with the auto-installer, so what I suggest you do is do the manual way... sorry to say it... but seems you will have to:

1. DL it
2. Unzip it
3. Upload it
4. Config it
5. Install it

Im still getting the same errors... Maybe drupal6.2 isnt compatable with the hostican setup.

On a VPS that's not possible. Sounds like Drupal 6.2 has some issues with its core, maybe it was released too early? It looks like a template engine issue, or it doesn't work with PHP5 ?

Its a php5 issue, my vps is only running on php4.

And...

I was following the guide to upgarde my plesk vps to php5 and yum spit out a bunch of perl dependancy errors. So Im just gonna go back to Drupal5 instead.

Yea, that sounds like a good idea, you can upgrade it here, if you know what you are doing:

Yea, Plesk isn't easy for sure, cPanel / WHM you can switch between PHP4 / PHP5 and how its run within a few seconds. But Plesk, once you upgrade... thats kinda it.
