Default Adding an entry to the Virtual Host

While trying to troubleshoot a problem it was suggested that I add an Apache directive in my "Virtual Host". If I look at the configuration file (httpd.conf) there are comments that say, "Do Not Edit - Automatically generated". Okay fine. So I go to the Webhost Manager cpanel, select Apache configuration, Include Editor, and I see three areas: Pre Main Include, Pre Virtual Host Include, Post Virtual Host Include.

That is a little confusing. I wasn’t looking for Pre or Post anything. I simply want to add an entry to the Virtual Host area. Where can I do that?

Default Re: Adding an entry to the Virtual Host

Hello, the basics of what you are trying to do is wrong, because when the Apache be restarted your changes will be lost. This requires the use of an include file.
Please read this part of the Apache documentation (it will take 5 minutes):
