Default access permissions for home folders of VPS hosting

Hello, I'm wondering if there will be something wrong if I change the access permissions of some user folders in my home folder of VPS? Before to do anything risky on my hosting I want to ask for advice.

Actually this is a very risky and improper action as regard to cPanel. Making a change on this access permission will make a big mess with the functionality of cPanel.
