I've been watching this for some time now: An update on the CentOS project
Can we have the option to use other OS's like Debian or Ubuntu (which is Debian based).?

Firstly, relax and don't worry about this situation. This is an old article, now the whole team of CentOS are still together. In the future, if something bad happens, HostICan always has the option to use the next best operating system for hosting services.

The CentOS team is pleased to announce the availability of CentOS 4.8. CentOS 4.8 is available on the Internet before RHEL 5.4 .
