I believe you got a response from support about this issue? If we look in your signature, and click on "TagoGems" it seems to be working. Most of the time its not the hosts error but user error to be honest... thats why the first thing that I do (when I had / have) is remove everything and go back to the basic account shell... and see if it works, then add all my stuff in. Easy to say, the host is at fault, can't get ahold of them, instead of trying to see well... maybe the problem is on my side? what happens if...

The thread is about lack of HostICan support. Not getting any response to every avenue of contact that was available to me is what the thread is about. Not about who's fault it was that my .com was not working for the Wordpress site. All I knew was that I was required to pay 9.95 to fix the problem. I was told to pay the 9.95 and HostICan would take care of it. They were told that I had just done a DNS change, The domain that it was directed to does exist and still exists. I was told, no problem...... Pay the 9.95 and we will take care of it. My fault? ![]() Yes, this morning I did get a response to the ticket the correct .com is not showing up in the url bar. So where is my Wordpress site? |

Hey,
I know its not your fault, wasn't blaming you, just making a clear point that its not our fault In terms of phone support, we've been rebuilding our phone system, so some calls did end up in the voicemail system, which we are sorting though and I will make sure that you get a call back. If you look in your public_html you will see your index.php is renamed, if you name it back to index.php --> it will redirect you back to hostican (the same issue as you where facing before). So what you will need to do is: HostICan - Support - Pre-Sales, E-Mail, and so many more answers... :: How to move your WP blog to a new domain? Requires some MySQL adjusting ![]()

Thanks Denis,
Can you help me with step 7 please? When it says to "change the value". That means the url that is presently in the large box to my taogem.com, right? How to move your WP blog to a new domain? 1. Login to your cPanel >> PHPMyAdmin 2. Select the WP Blog database 3. Click on wp_options 4. Now click on “Browse” on the tabs at the top 5. Find a link that says “Siteurl” should be the first row 6. Click the pencil to edit 7. Change the value in there and click “Go” to save the changes |

You should remove the home.htm folder... if it doesn't work after that you should just re-install the WP install?
