HIC Dedicated Server Review

I would like to give my thoughts on our dedicated server experience so far with HIC.

I run a new Vbulletin forum and after setting up an initial Base-Host account decided what was needed to ensure the overall success of our site was to upgrade to a dedicated server with HIC.

After getting feedback from this forum we decided to make the jump.

SERVICE:

The service we have received from HIC is amazing. We have had great response to questions asked on this forum and also by submitting support tickets through the main site. We have always gotten a response not only the same day but usually within minutes. Most times it was to say whatever my need was was handled. Also the time to take care of requests was always less then expected. I have had great success with telling them exactly what my needs are and they have given great recommendations. So the service here I would rate as A+!

PERFORMANCE:

When our server was ready and the switch was made the performance was exactly what they said it would be. Fast and with no problems at all. Bulk emails, speed and 0 errors or downtime.

When I was doing research and looking for a host HIC's name kept coming up as a great host for what I needed and I would have to say it has been a good choice. It has allowed me to spend time building my site and not worrying about fixing problems.

My 2 cents for others looking for a host:

Do research and find out what you need. NOT right now but down the road. THEN tell HIC what you need and they will recommend a hosting plan that is right for you. We are planning on also starting to do website design for others and are planning to use HIC for all of our hosing needs.

hehe - yea, its cool... just working with a customer on it now... we're testing it to see if its enough power or not for him... might need to add more servers

Completed, his site loads like its loading locally, I saw his site load like this forum does but with 1,200 concurrent users.

His comments where:

"Goodness gracious!!!... it's now as fast as lightning!!! What the hell did you do??? :-P"

and later (after 1,200 users where connected):

"Excellent work. I am very pleased. "
