Probably just the usual DNS delays, assuming everything is configured properly.

When I had my VPS stuff moved to a dedicated server, it required new IP numbers, and it took from 1-3 days before everything sorted itself out.

Best I can suggest is that you file a support ticket and ask them to verify the settings are correct. That way, you can sit back and realize the rest is up to the crazy, lazy DNS system.

looks like we going backwards again... after days of sitting between 2 companies talking past each other, i thought i was making headway.

my domain host wants rDNS, HostICAN doesnt need it.

stalemate.

PS: I hope this registrar isn't an email based one where you have to email them and wait for them to register name servers.

Oh boy. I can see where this process can be extended that way. Maybe, after this is all over, you should consider moving your domain to a registrar with convenient Web-based tools so you don't have to have someone do this stuff for you.

HostICan handles registrations, or you can choose one of the other providers that has good online management.

If you mean move up a tier, just open a support ticket, or start a chat and ask them to take this to the higher level if you're not getting the help you need.
