What kind of price increase would be acceptable for more ram?

I've not done any research on this yet, but clicked a result in a quick Google query for this post and got this: Additional services - First VDS Web Hosting FAQ - Hosting. Virtual dedicated server ( VDS / VPS ) at the price of shared hosting! Root-access, ISPmanager control panel.

I think the cost is high, they are charging an extra $2.40/month for each 16MB of ram (which I think is insane)!!!!

I'd think a more realistic number is $2.40/month for each 128MB of ram. But remember, I've done zero research.

The market rate for 128MB of ram is about $19.95 - $29.95 USD. So its quite expensive (its soo expensive due to the software and hardware that is used for admining all that).

Yeah, as I've found out, cPanel WHM + VPS = resource hog. Most of my sites are static and I already use all my allocated RAM. Thankfully there's burst available, but considering burst can be used by others as well (if I am not mistaking), I might have issues later.

Not for me, but for HIC as a whole, perhaps colocation since they operate their own DC, might be a good option to advertise.

Can I ship my server to them? That way I can build my own.
Would be a nice option for the future!

Since video is becoming more and more predominant.

How about a dedicated video server. Target the marketing to developers, that way they don't have to play around with solutions or half-rate servers.

The server would include whatever video package they wanted running (out of a list they choose from).
