Affiliate suggestion

Well, recently joined as a HostICan affiliate. Got my first signup and after logging in to see what stats look like, I was surprised to see that it doesn't show the domain name that signed up via my affiliate link.

My former affiliate host (won't mention any names ) listed the domain that you referred for hosting. And for my business, this is absolutely crucial. I offer a small bonus to those who signup through us so now I have to email HostICan to verify who signed up so I can tell if I can offer the customer the bonus or not.

I know I'm a newbie and don't have much weight to throw around here but some more detailed stats would be GREAT. Even just the domain would be very helpful. At least for me.

Although I agree, you can use campaign codes for some tracking. I wish they allowed you to break down stats by month like many other unmentionable hosts.

Here's our thing... we offer free installation of our websites IF they signup for hosting through us. So, we really could use at least the domain name to be shown in the affiliate section so I can see which customers I can install their website for free, and which ones didn't host through us so they would be charged for installation.

That would be great....

We're working on this, at the moment there are a couple of projects that are very similar to this issue... and as soon as those are figured out we will be doing this one too... its not hard - just needs to do some serious framework before all this can work off that frame work - we're hot on its trail....
