My webhost will do a site to site transfer but they will not download the files from you, extract them and then re-upload them to my new server. I have even tried to download the files at my work via T1 line and it still stoped at 4GB. Please re-post my website temporarily so that I can accesss the files I need via FTP. I have no problems waiting an extra day since it has already been 4 days. Thank you.

So why can't they do a wget? If they can't do a simple wget http://................ then you need a better host, its easy to download that and run /scripts/restorepkg ......

Your comment does nothing to help the situation. Can you please temporarily restore my site so that I can retrieve my files via FTP? Simple request.

Yes, if the site was 3GB, not when its 30GB. Sorry. We've provided you with a full backup, please use it. If you're web host is unable to download, I suggest you seek another host that can download this.

No one is holding you hostage. You have the download link, if you're ISP can't download it then have a web host download it. There is no caps, no nothing on that download. Take it, its yours to have.

Ok. After a long conversation with my cable internet provider technical support team, it looks like the blame falls on Hostican as my ISP has no caps or limits on their downloads or uploads. I have also attempted to download this file at my work using a T1 line at a medical facility used to send MRI and CT images via the internet and still had the same problem.

The problem is obviously on Hostican's site and you refuse to acknowledge it or do anything to help to alleviate the situation. Please restore my site so that I can retrieve my files!!!!

i dont understand why hostican wont just split up the archive into say, 2gb chunks.

then this entire thing would be over.

Here is more proof that the problem is on Hostican's side. I'm now using a download manager to attempt to retrieve the file. As you know whenever there is a disconnection or break in the transfer the download manager will then reconnect and continue where it left off.

So I started downloading the file yesterday evening. After about 30 minutes it stopped at 4.03GB or 14% of the download. It's been trying to reconnect ever since then. About 24 hours now. Basically, once the file gets to a certain point your servers will not allow it do be downloaded any further.

To make things clear again that it's not my ISP, I tried do download the file from multiple locations and ISP's including a medical T1 line with no caps what so ever, and I'm now using a download manager which is made for this kind of situation and the same thing continues to occur. PARTIAL DOWNLOAD, DISCONNECTION, and BLOCK!!!!! ITS YOUR SYSTEM!!! GIVE ME MY WEBSITE BACK!!!!
