transfer files between hosting and my computer

Is it possible to make easily transferring of files between the hosting and my computer? I don't want to use an FTP, I need something more effective.

The Web Disk in cPanel is almost similar with FTP program. Open your browser, login to the cPanel and click the Web Disk icon. Create an account - enter a username, a password and click Create button. So, your account will be ready, click on the Access Web Disk button in the "Access Web Disk" column. Next, choose the OS. Finally click on the "Click here and save to your Desktop" link.
