Default $50 to whoever fixes my timeout issues ! ! !

Hello all ;-)

We sell turnkey websites and refer ALL customers to Hostican. However, the last 2 weeks have been a disaster when uploading to Hostican.

Sites that normally take us literally 5 minutes to upload are getting timed out 3-5 times and taking around 1 hour to upload!

So far, support hasn't been too great of help. They keep suggesting that I use other FTP programs, and I did try that, but still the same issue. We use CuteFTP (which they recommend in their own welcome emails!) and I have no issues uploading to any other host.
  • Data mode set to Auto (not PORT or PASV)
    Max global transfers is 2
    Max concurrent transfers is 2
    Connection timeout 30 seconds

I'm praying that someone can help with this... never encountered this problem before. I keep reading and all I come across is firewall issue. CuteFTP is added as an exception, so that's not it. Plus, like I said, I can upload without any issues to other hosts.

Getting desperate here... $50 to whoever fixes this!

Thanks,

Rob

I have been with HOSTICAN for quite some time now, and am also facing the same issue. I can't even upload a 2 kb png file to my ftp, without it timing out. And I thought the issue was with my computer/internet connection. :s

Hey guys,

1. I need the IP address of the server you are on, and I need the IP address of your ISP (computer).

2. PM me with the details on it...

I had same issue before and I found that it depends on FTP client. I also found that WinSCP and Flash FXP works better than other FTP application.

I've used CuteFTP and FileZilla and still have the same issues. So far, no solution. Guess we'll see....

Not sure if this will help or not, I've spoken with our networking group and they loosened up our anti-ddos filters, maybe this should fix the issue.
