SRV records

Some time ago, I submitted a ticket and asked the support to add some SRV records to my DNS zone. However, I was told that SRV's were not supported by the WHM interface and hence it couldn't be set up. So I've got two questions:
1. Has there been any changes to WHM to add the SRV support?
2. If not (which I suppose), couldn't those records be added to BIND manually, by simply editting my DNS zone files?

I would greatly appreciate this, since the workaround via NS delegation, which I currently have to employ, seems to me very inelegant and inconvenient.

Hey - Thanks for posting.

We would be glad to do it if it was that easy. However, since we use cluster name servers, it means we have to change the record in 3 - 4 different places on different servers and then sync up the servers so all of them update the shared servers...

So its quite a mammoth task to accomplish in that respect. However, I will ask cPanel if they will add it (a tip for them)... so hopefully sometime soon they will add it.
