1) Why am I seeing this on my single page when my home page is fine?

We can go ahead and close this thread now.

The strangest thing was my developer suggested flipping the permalinks from custom to year and month in the WordPress option screen. I did that, and it cleared up right away. So I flipped back to custom, and it was nice and sweet as ice tea.

Hope this helps other WP users.

By the way, I was using 2.3.2 WP.
