Default Installing FrontPage Extensions

I'm likely doing something simply wrong, but I'm not sure what. I created a sub-domain and am trying to get frontpage extensions installed onto it, but when I use the "Install Extensions" feature in cPanel, I get the following error:

Error: Web configuration problem: No serverType in configuration file "".

Frontpage was installed on the following domains:

I looked in the directory where this sub-domain is located, and it is completely empty except for the emtpy cgi-bin directory. Is this possibly because my root domain does not have the extensions installed?

Thanks for your help!

Got it... And fo those who might case, yes you do need to install the extensions to the parent domain prior to installing the extensions to the sub domain.

That's right. FrontPage Extensions must be installed for the primary domain of the account. If Frontpage Extensions are working correctly, you should get the Extensions Admin page.

Ok, now here's a twist on it. I got cPanel to show that FrontPage Extensions is installed on both my primary domain account and the sub-domain. But when FrontPage connects to the sub-domain directory, I get the following 2 errors (in FrontPage):

And to add the real kicker, when I go back to cPanel to check the FrontPage Extensions, it no longer shows it installed on the sub-domain, nor that it was ever installed (the primary domain still shows it installed).

I've tried installing the FrontPage extensions a few times now, but the errors keep occurring and so does the "magical" uninstall for the FrontPage Extensions.

Any thoughts?
