Default Add-On Domain

This is my first time adding an Add-On Domain to my account. I would like to know if I have done everything that I was suppose to.

I have done the following in this order:
  • I created the add-on domain in the cpanel. (ex: abc.com)
  • I redirected the add-on domain to the url i want displayed in the cpanel.
  • I uploaded my html files, etc to the add-on domain's folder in my main account
  • I then pointed the domain name to ns1.hostican.com & ns2.hostican.com in my registrar's account.
At the time of this post, it has only been about 17 hours since I made the DNS/Nameserver change. When I type in my url in a browser I receive an Internal Server Error.

Have I've done everything right, and should I just be patient until the name change takes place? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
