Default How to get high rank in google?

Well as you all know, to get your site listed in the first pages of google search results is the best way to drive traffic. But can you tell me which factors decide the rankings in Google? Number of page views? Number of links in?

One of my sites used to be ranked in first page of Google, but its rank decrease so fast lately. I wonder why. I'm gonna make a few more sites, I wonder how to make them have high ranks in google and other search engines?

And is it true that the higher your site is ranked in Google search results, the more you earn with Google adsense?

To start with, have you done anything with your site to optimize Google searching, such as generate sitemaps?

As to the latter, Google AdSense is based on the clicks the ads you run receive. Nothing more nothing less. The busier your site, the more Google AdSense counts for something.

Normally google looks at quite a few things. Some of the things listed below:
  • Backlinks
  • Site Content
  • Keywords
  • Inbound / Outbound links
The above are all things that is looked at in setting a PR level. Some folks don't believe in PR makes any difference some folks do. It just really depends on your view point.

If you had a NEW SITE when you ranked well on google, then your drop is normal due to the sandbox effect (search google). You'll realize full potential of your newer sites 6-8 months after you launch it. Therefore, what I do is continue building and building then your older sites finally rank and do well.

THis is why I stress to people that going with HostICan for single site hosting isn't a great idea for newer people. You really should go with HostICan's multiple domain hosting options.

But to answer your question if the site isn't new, I think it is past the scope of this forum. There is *a lot* to learn and no simple answer.

In addition, SEO is always a good idea. Once you take the appropriate steps (and it's easy in many of the forum systems and, of course, WordPress), you're listings in Google will grow exponentially. Eventually you might get back on that front page. But anything you can do, following the suggestions here and elsewhere, to push it along, will improve matters.

If you spent 1 hour making your site, you need to spend 10 hours marketing that site. It's my 10% rule. If you spend 1 month developing, perfecting, and monetizing your site, the remaining 11 months should be spent marketing. If you follow this, you will rank well after 6-8 months.

Honest to say I don't do much promotion for my sites, so most visitors come from Google and other search engines.

Can you share some good tips to market websites to me?

I'm getting into offline promotion. But the majority of your time should be spent finding your visitors and showing them your site. There's multiple ways such as forums, articles, smaller niche blogs you create, and blog commenting, etc.

I pay people to do my many hours or work for cheap. This is how I can handle 100s of sites and still have time to waste here. Heh
