register short domain name to hosting

One of the basic rules in choosing a domain - it should be short. Most of the words are already occupied by someone else. Therefore I would like to register domain name to my hosting, consisting of 2 or 3 short words. Is this a good idea?

What a great idea! Combination of 2 or more words is recommended if possible at least one of them to be length 2, 3 letters.

yes. 2 or 3 short words would be fine. it would also be an advantage as it could help with the familiarity of the domain name.
