Page and Post URL naming problem

how do you change URL page and post names. I don't like the assigned "?page-id=n"

I'm really new to this and have been trying to build my blog since yesterday. I think once I get this part down, I'll alright.

It also does that with my Post URL name too.

Yes, this is known as permlinks its an option in the WP interface, just decide how you want your perm links to look like and you should be all set.

I try to suggest that you use the following perm link structure:

/%postname%

Its the "custom structure" option in WP.
