Is HostICan fit for image sharing website?

I need a host for image sharing website and my requirements are about 150GB disk space that i probably will achieve this at the end of 1st year.

The most of the shared images will be legal and yes exceptions may exist where someone illegally uploads someone else's copyrighted material (but chances of this are not more than 5%). Is HostICan suitable for me? Do you allow image sharing websites on shared hosting? (Please do not answer by saying "VPS or dedicated hosting is fit for you").

I have another question. I have a domain purchased from the godaddy.com. Can i use it with HostICan account?

1. Depends on the plan, if you are talking about a shared hosting account then no, as its against the terms of service that we state on our signup and ask you to agree before you complete the order process.

2. Yes, you could use the domain with our hosting, just point it over to the name servers and you should be all set.

then what is the solution for such image gallery site? I cant afford dedicated host . Also the vps is costly.

Is there any discount allowed? or any type of coupan systam for discount?

Is the service reliable?

One more thing, that i have no experience of VPS. Is it controlled by the traditional CPanel or it requires some skills?

can you please tell me is handelling VPS is similar to handling Shared host? I have to buy it within next 24 hours but i am afraid i will not be able to handle it.

i can help some. I had a VPS with another company using Plesk. It isnt all that hard, mabe an hour of playing arround with the control panel cause u need to set up a client then a domain within the client. However im not usre about cpanel. Im sure its easy.

1. Yes, there are discounts avaliable, only if you obtain 3 months + hosting (VPS).

2. Yes, sure is.

3. Yes, you can just use your traditional cPanel skills and you should be all set.

if what you want is a personal image gallery, or online photo album ... its OK, and working well too.

if you are going to aim for commercialise the photo album, and getting thousand hits per day. Since its commercial, it should see some investment into server facility. the best will be hostican vps at $45 per month
