Default Merchant Account

I used to have a merchant account with another hosting co. I was using AuthorizeNet which charged me $10.00 per month. I also got charged by Chase for a percentage plus about $30.00 to $35.00 for, I guess being so kind to handle my business.

I notice your Merchant Account uses AuthorizeNet which is OK plus a percentage of the sales. It does not mention any extra charges such as the one I mentioned above.

My question is "Is there any other charges except for AuthorizeNet plus the small percentage of sales?"

Thank You

delbert - Welcome to the HostICan Forum!

Normally with merchant accounts it works like this:

1. Payment of Gateway (Authorize.net or whoever)
2. Merchant Account provider % of sale and sometimes they have a minimum - as long as you meet the min you shouldn't be charged anything on top.

Chase is part of First Data Corp which is a HORRID setup, they will jack your money for 6 months, just cause they think you maybe earning too much - I speak about this from personal exp. Drop Chase as soon as you can.

A good Merchant provider is at HostICan - Mercant Accounts, get yours without any setup fees! - they will treat you well.

Denis, I think you missed answering this question directly...?

Is there any other charges except for AuthorizeNet plus the small percentage of sales?

Normally, no. Depends on your merchant provider etc...
