using php pages in site to the hosting server
I am working on uploading my site to the hosting server and something curious is happening. I'm using php pages and they work fine in the root folder but same file does not work in a sub folder.

I would say that these are the most likely causes:
-incorrect permission (the php file it should be 755) -incorrect file path somewhere in your script (especially if you you have any includes)
