Question PHP as Apache vs CGI

Check this out!

"...run PHP as an Apache module (Mod PHP) which is more efficient than running in CGI-binary mode..."

From here: http://www.openx.org/docs/2.4/adming...m-requirements

Is this true?

Basically what you are talking about is suphp, but its doing the same thing basically. CGI works out better in the long run, i would STRONGLY suggest that you DONT change the settings if you have a current setup!

Default PHP as CGI and module

Hello Roger,
On a very busy sites yes running it as mod_php is little faster 5-20% i presume. But when you are running PHP as CGI (suphp) you are avoiding a lot of problems with permissions and it have an extra security too.
