Default Heath Ledger

It's always sad when a young person, who is supposedly sitting on the top of the world, dies suddenly. I don't know if this was an accidental overdose, some undisclosed personal problem that resulted in suicide, or whatever.

I do hope, though, that his remaining pictures, such as The Dark Knight (the Batman Begins sequel) will somehow honor his memory.

Having never been rich myself (despite rumors to the contrary), I never understood why some people seem to find that situation so miserable.

Maybe we should open up a psychology thread to talk about it.

Default Sorrow vs Arrogance

Well, someone has to regret that the mention of suicide would even come up. It would not except that an ambitious somethingstinky-in-the-face reporter thought he'd earn more with a dash of sensation.

Fact is that, like any other code, we humans are simply a collection of mundane relationships. When those relationships slip out of line, we go away. Personally, I think there's more to the 55 grams than the limited relations our knowledgebase offers. Heath is with us, and our universe, yet suddenly in a very different way.

May our universe bless Heath Ledger with comfort and happiness, wherever he has gone. We people of earth have lost an actor of considerable talent and immense promise.

Boo hoo. Indeed Heath Ledger was a brilliant actor. My heart won't bleed for him when more than 2 million kids die every year from starvation because we don't want to export food nearing their expiration dates to third world countries where it came be used immediately instead of thrown out in the dumpster.

Off the off topic, which movie do you think was Heath's best? I am tempted to say Patriot (?? the one with Gibson)...

It may be one of the forthcoming films, though some say that Brokeback Mountain was terrific -- I've never seen it.

I'm really intrigued by the possibilities of his turn as the Joker in the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight, though.

I haven't seen Brokeback either. He certainly have done quite a few memorable films but I can't think of one where he carried the film on his name, like Tom Cruise or Tom Hanks can carry a film. Another good flick he did was that prison movie with Halle Berry, I just can't think of what it was called right now.
