How to use a Dedicated Server

hey i was forced to upgrade and im used to the windows interface i want to know which program i need to use to remote connect to my server using centos

im using windows xp os on my pc

all i got was a ip and user/pass want to know how to use it ?

You access this via your Web browser, using the ip number. The username and password will be entered in the prompt that appears.

Once you get into WHM / cPanel, you'll find a familiar graphical interface. On the left sidebar there's a Support Center that has a lot more information.

Best thing to do is leave the settings we make for you alone, and go into cPanel to do your normal stuff with your site. You can get there by clicking on Account information, then List Accounts.

No one was ever forced. If your site outgrew resources and you didn't do anything about it ... thats a different story.

Having said the above, we would be glad to answer any questions you may have - its much like managing a VPS or any other service.

Let me add to that. Yes, managing a VPS and managing a dedicated server are very, very similar. The main difference from a usability standpoint is that the latter involves the whole box, not just a walled off portion of it.
