Newbie asking for help

Hi all,

I'm brandnew to this forum and to HostICan and I'm about to start my own blog. Since I'm no internet freak and the technical side is very confusing to me, I'd like to ask you for tips suggestions and how-to's to establish a blog that has the resources to grow overtime, that allows me to use ads and affiliate programs and how to avoid pitfalls later on.

To my technical understanding I would say, normally I'm the typical user, I work a lot with the pc, but if I can avoid it, I don't mess around with the technical side of it, I can install programs and get things to work, but not much more. So, if you could try to answer as non-technically as possible, I'd greatly appreciate it, because most of the abbreviations used by many web-savvy people are totally over my head!

What I would suggest that you do is:

1. Install the blog if you haven't done so already:

2. You can pick a theme to skin it with from:
Theme Viewer

3. Now you are ready for content writing, you will need to write content for your site. This is the most important thing ever, as if you have less content... you will have less possible visitors, so the more you type out (more often) the more possible visitors you will see.

When you are writing you can include Affiliate program links to other sites (even to the HostICan web hosting - we have an affiliate program too! )
