Default How Upload Images to WP2.5?

Just signed on with HostICan today and provisioned WP2.5 through Fantastico.

Urgently trying to create a posting, or a page, entry with an uploaded graphic.

This works process works flawlessly on my test site on WordPress.com Get a Free Blog Here.

On my new HostICan WP2.5 site, the Flash uploader says "Crunching" for about five minutes, then quits without uploading a thing.

HELP! Time is of the essence.

THANKS!!!!

If time is important to you, your best bet is to file a support ticket.

Default Support Said "Try the Forums"

I did post a support ticket.

The reply was a non-answer which basically said, "We don't know, try the Forum. Case closed."

Your real name,

Thanks for your reply.

You will need to ask this on the hostican community forum located at: http://forum.hostican.com.

We provide support for installation, but do not provide support for how the application works.
Which seems very fair to me. If a WP compoent isn't working, its not responsibility of the host (always) to figure out why its not working. As its a thrird party software, you may need to read up on it, perhaps other users have the same issue with WP on their WP forum?

I would be more then happy to assist you with this. Also, how large is the file that you are upload? - Naturally if your uploading a 4 MB file (as an example), it may have issues... but that doesn't mean that its the issue of the server, it could be issue of your internet connection.

Anyways, I will be more then happy to assist you in resolving this issue, if you give me something to work with.

If you can't upload images to your blog, it is more than likely a permissions problem.

Verify your /wp-content/uploads/ folder is chmod 777.

This has also been an ongoing issue with WP 2.5, and some of the fixes in 2.5.1 may address this. An update might be a good idea.

2.5.1 is now supported, so this issue is resolved
