Questions About Coupons
Hello. I'm trying to create a Coupon and I can see that I have to create a Coupon for each Plan separately, it don't allow to select "Shared Hosting", "Dedicated" or "VPS" to create a Coupon that applies to all the Hosting Plans in this 3 Categories. 1. Is there a way to create Coupons for the Categories that apply to all the Hosting Plans below them? As I have to select the Plan Duration for each Category and Plan, I'll have to create a Coupon for each Duration separately. 2. Is there a way to create Coupons for all Durations? (3,6,12 and 24 months) Other Questions: 3. What is the Maximum Limit of Coupon Discount (amount). 4. What Comission will I get on each Hosting Plan? If I specify a Discount I guess it'll come out of my Comission, right? 5. Regarding the Selection of the Plan Name and of the Duration if I have to create a Coupon for each Hosting Plan and each Duration, if I wish to create Coupons for the 2 Shared Hosting Plans and the 3 Durations I'll have to create 6 Coupons; and if I wish to create them for all 8 Hosting Plans and 3 Durations I'll have to create 24 Coupons; is there a limit on the number of Coupons I can Create? (I've seen on the Coupon Creation Window the following text "above the 2 coupon limit on your account"), this means I can only create 2 Coupons? (I don't understand that phrase) Questions About Affiliate Program I've read on other Thread something regarding Loosing the Affiliate Account in case of Transactions Fails on the Referred Costumers. 6. I'd appreciate if you can please Explain to me more in Detail that Topic. (I'm curious about it because as I'm placing Banners with my Tracking Code Link in them, in my Forum Communities, I don't have Any Control of the Persons that will Click the Banner, Access the HostICan Page, Fill the Order Page, and less if their Transaction will be Successful (If the Charge won't be rejected nor if they'll perform any Fraud Buy) and less if they'll ask for 30 days Money Back; this will be simply Persons from my Web Site's Traffic that I'll be presenting the HostICan Hosting Service that I currently Use and Like (That's why this Affiliate Program interest me, because I know the Product and Service is Good), and Persons that I don't Know and that Simply are Part of my Web Site's Traffic, so I don't think I should be responsible for them, that wouldn't be Fair; I think that I should get a Comission for Sending them to HostICan to be Able to Know and Buy the Product and of course if Everything goes well to get the comission and if not then not to get it, if any badintentioned Person wish to make a Fraud Buy that person will make it either accessing your Web Site Directly (or by a Search Engine) or by a Link such as the one in the Banners I'm currently Displaying in my Forums. I need to know this, because if for any reason badintentioned Persons would Register Hosting Accounts on HosICan and that'll represent Problems for me or to loose any Good Comissions I'd Have Accumulated, then that's a Random Risk (like a Lottery).) 7. Is there a Comission for Clicks on the Banners and Tracking Code Links? (like on Adsense of Google that they Pay Per Click)? How much is that Comission Per Click? (in Google Ad Sense they Track IPs to Avoid Click Abuse) I'm asking this because it can happen that a User with a Rotative IP (like many ISPs) that Clears the Cookies on his/her Computer can Access HostICan with my Banners and Tracking Code Links, and then make the buy other Day after Cleaning the Cooking and Changing the IP (or from other Computer), and perhaps by Clicking on somebodyelse's Coupon. That's a scenary that can happen, (in my case I clean almost all days the Cookies in my Computer and my ISP offers me Rotative IPs, I guess for them not to be reported in Black Lists in cases of Bad Clients that SPAM) 8. Regarding the Clicks on Banner or on Tracking Code Links, what About Persons that feel interested on the Product, Click on the Banner/Link, Know the Product, and then Buy it from other Computer? That'd be a Click on my Account but a Buy for HostICan or another Affiliate; so will that be Counted as Fails that will cause my Affiliate Account to be Cancelled From You as No Buy where made from those Clicks? 9. The Link of the "Download Affiliate Guide" sends to HostICan Page; could you please provide me the Link to that Guide to Dowload it and read more details about the Affiliates Plan? 10. I guess the Comission for Shared Hosting is different than that one for VPS and for Dedicated Hosting; could you please tell me what those Comissions Are for each Category and for each Plan in them? and as I asked before for the Ticket Discount, are there Discounts that will be made over those Comissions? Could you please List them for me to know them? I Appreciate Your Answers and Guide to Understand the Affiliates Program. My Best Regards.

1. There is no way to apply one coupon for all the packages,
we did this on purpose as there would be too high of a discount otherwise. 2. Again, please refer to #1, and that will give you more information. 3. The maximum would be $35.00 4. You will obtain the commission that is indicated on the site the 70$ for the 1 - 4 and then $90 per sale there after. 5. Yes there is a limit on the amount of coupons that you will be able to create. The limit is 10 coupons. This is done, so that one affiliate doesn't take all the coupon names, as most sites have one catagory of visitors and one set of plans tend to sell better then the other. Affiliate Program: 6. This is a very good question. I will start off by saying that HostICan has a good verification process. We screen all customers and will be able to catch most fraud customers and get that sorted out. As long as the customer isn't fruad, you will be issued a commission without any questions asked. So that should be fine, your not held liable for any of the customers actions. 7. On this one there isn't a CPC. This is a CPA program. 8. We track everything, so as long as the customer is on the same network, we will be able to track and award a commission. 9. We're working on a new version of the PDF right now, as we've just released a new affiliate system, so the V3 PDF is on the way. We will provide you with a link as soon as we have one. 10. We issue a standard commission rate, until you have a established a referal type. By this I mean, are you refering all shared, some shared some VPS, all vps etc.... then the affiliate manager (myself) will be in contact with you to work out a diffrent commission structure. I can see some Coupons Pages that Assign the same Discount to all Times (3, 6, and 12 months); this means that the Comission I get don't depend of the Time the User Buys for the Hosting? If so, how is the Scale of Comissions Per Category, Per Plan, and Per Times? 15. If the User Contracts an Initial Time with you but is a Client that Stays for a Long Time, do I get some Comission on Each Renewal that Client Makes? I mean a Comission not only for the First Buy but during all the Time that the Client Stays with HostICan? 16. Can a User Use a Coupon I've Created for VPS-Rage for a VPS-Extreme, or for other VPS Plans? (the same for shared and for Dedicated Plans) (I'm thinking that on VPS there are 4 Plans and each of them with 3 Alternatives of Times, that means 12 Coupons to Cover them All; if there could be an Option to Select One Coupon for VPS and for All Times, that would make 1 Coupon, or al least for VPS and for each Time that would make 3 Coupons, and not 12; is more easy in cases that I want to assign the same Discount to All Plans on Each Category, which is what I see on some Coupon Web Sites.) 17. Could you please provide some recomendations on the Creation of Coupons? Like what are the Best Choices to Choose, (Plans, Times, Discounts); that would be very Useful for us Beginners. 11. All coupons are bound to affiliate accounts. So if your
customer uses a coupon that belongs to another affiliate, then the other affiliate (whos coupon was used), would get the credit from sale. 12. That is done on a case by case basis, normally anymore then 10 you have to be referring at least 40+ accounts per month. 13. The commission doesn't alter on these coupons. So even if you make a $35 off coupon your commission will still be $70 (1-4) then $90 per sale there after. 14. The coupons are only offered for 12,24 months on shared hosting. No commissions will be issued for any order for 6 months or below. 15. There is no commission on renewals, its just one time per customer. 16. Please login to your account, in there it will give you all the options on what you can and can't do. 17. This is up to you guys, I would say the less you keep a coupon the more unique it would be. However, on the flip side, is the longer the coupon is around the more potentional there is for for sales... Sorry for the delayed response on this one, been crazy busy here.
