Coupon Codes and Redirects

I signed up for the affiliate program not too long ago. I have been reading about coupon codes for tracking purposes. Are these still used anymore? If so, where do I generate one.

Also, I want to direct users to different pages in the site and the method described in the FAQ doesn't seem to work properly. I get a 404. Any suggestions?

1. This is actually something that is available in V3, which is right around the corner (should be about in 2 - 3 weeks). For now we manually review all the commissions, and award the coupon'd sales to the correct affiliates.

2. Yes, take your affiliate link and place &url= on the end of it... with the url address and that should work.

Does this mean I have a coupon code associated with my account now? Can I use either or my coupon or affiliate link? I am currently using my affiliate link but I read somewhere if someone uses another affiliate's code with their order they will get credit. I see that during the registration process that the code that appears is spring-12. Is that a default?

Can you give me an example of a proper url to say the hosting page. I tried the &url= and that just seems to go to the home page regardless of what I put after the equal sign.

Yes, is is already done manually, so no worries there.
